Cricklewood Silk Road Festival 2013 Planning has started for this year's Cricklewood Silk Road Festival.
Put the date in your diary as it is hoped to launch a week of events starting on Sunday 1 September with the finale Silk Road Festival on Saturday 7 September.
Although still in the planning stages, ideas include Crowning Cricklewood to reinstate the May Queen tradition started in 1934 by Clitterhouse School in Claremont Road, Cricklewood Cruise!, Open Air Cinema screening, Heritage walk as well as performances, stalls, food and refreshments and lots more.
If you are interested in being involved in any way with any of the above events or helping set up on the day, stewarding, delivering posters, clearing up, taking a stall, get in touch with CIP - cipcricklewood@yahoo.co.uk.
We are going to have a great Festival. |

Farewell Drinks for Judy Langley - 9 June Anyone who knows MapRA will know Judy Langley. MapRA is a hugely successful Residents' Association in Mapesbury and together with NorthWestTWO we cover Mapesbury Ward in Cricklewood.
When we started NorthWestTWO nearly 6 years ago, Judy was so encouraging and met with us and gave us some good advice and we have continued to work together. Although we are very different Residents' Associations, we can appreciate the effort and commitment she has given to make MapRA the success it is today.
The Farewell to Judy Langley is on the same day as the Open Gardens on Sunday 9 June in the Dell from 7pm-9pm. (no need to bring bottle, glass or nibbles) |

NorthWestTWO is having it's very own Open Garden fundraiser on Sunday afternoon, 14 July in Helen's stunning garden in Anson Road. We are looking for volunteers to help on the day with refreshments, baking cakes and manning our stall. Contact NorthWestTWO. As this is our main fundraising event this year, could anyone help by designing a poster?

Langton Road - Yard Sale Are you interested in putting on a yard sale? Langton Road will be doing a street wide American style yard sale on Saturday 1 June at 10 am.
Clear out your loft and sheds and put them out for sale in your front garden or the parking space (blocking the public sidewalk isn't highly recommended). Coordinating with your fellow neighbours on parking their car in another spot will help clear a space where you might want to set up your "stall".
Kids will be selling lemonade and cold sun tea along with some baked goods. Help will be needed to pop flyers through doors and set up notices to inform people on where to come.
Email at NW2fun@gmail.com or call 07531 404236 if any questions. If it rains, it will be postponed for the following Sunday.
